How to correct Lottery Inventory Mistakes (Manager Correction/Self-Management)

Sometimes a mistake happens during lottery inventory shift-reports, managers can fix them using the steps in this guide.

Prerequisites:

  • Must have the "Reconcile Inventory" Permission associated with your account

Steps:

How to de-activate a book:

Note: When you de-activate a lottery book, it will delete its record from any shift-reports that has happened, if it was showing as sold in those reports, it will reduce/affect the reconciliation value by the amount of tickets sold. This could potentially make multiple cashiers appear "short" if it was not-intentional.

  • Go to Lottery Inventory (See below):

  • Go to the "Activated Books" Tab

  • Press "De-activate" next to the book you would like to de-activate

  • Confirm your de-activation in the pop-up that follows

How to delete a book:

Note: When you delete a lottery book, it will delete its record from any shift-reports that has happened, if it was showing as sold in those reports, it will reduce/affect the reconciliation value by the amount of tickets sold. This could potentially make multiple cashiers appear "short" if it was not-intentional.

  • Go to Lottery Inventory (See below):

  • Press the "Delete" button next to any book that you would like to delete.

  • Confirm your deletion in the pop-up that follows.

How to delete a lottery shift-report:

Note: When you delete a lottery shift-report, it will unsettle any books that were activated, and delete any shift-reports that happened after that shift-report. Be very careful when considering to delete older shift-reports.

  • Go to Lottery Shift Reports

  • Press the delete button next to the shift you wouuld like to delete

  • Confirm the deletion on the pop-up that follows
