How to set a Modifier through the backoffice
Go to Store Management to get to the list of Products.
Next in the search bar type in the product you want to have a modifier for and press enter. In this example, we will use Coke.
Copy the SKU of the product you are trying to modify. In this example, it will be the 20oz Coke Cherry.
Now go to New Product and add the SKU, Name of the product, Department, and price of the new item whether it's a 2pk, 4pk, 6pk, etc. For this example, I put 20oz Coke Cherry 4pk. After you fill the information then press Save Changes.
If you have a Supersonic POS only then it will automatically send the transmission. If you have just backoffice for a gas station or have a gas station and a SuperSonic POS then you will have to manually send the transmission.
For manually sending the transmission go to POS Transmissions which is under Store Management. Once there just simply go to New Transmission and then Save Changes. Now you have successfully made a modifier for your product.
How to set a modifier on the SuperSonic POS
When looking at the screen of your POS (see below) top left you will see the price check button.
Then this screen will appear. Scan the product you want to modify. Then select Add Modifier/Variant. (See Below):
Once you press Add Modifier/Variant, the create product will appear. In the example, it's a single can. (See Below):
We want to make this into a 4 pk. We add 4 pk at the end of the name. Select the department it's supposed to be in and the price for the 4 pk. (See Below):
Once you save the product and scan the product, you will get two options. One for the single and one for the 4 pk. (See Below):
How to set a Modifier through the phone app
First, Log into your app for Petro Outlet
Once you are logged in you will be met with the Dashboard
From the Dashboard, you select Manage at the bottom as shown in the image below with a blue circle
After selecting Manage, next you will select Products
Press the barcode icon that is top left as shown on the image below
When selected, it will use your phone's back camera to scan the product's barcode.
Here we can see the 20oz Coke Cherry was scanned. The SKU/UPC and the product showed up in the search bar.
Since we are doing a modifier it is different than just editing a product. You will need to click new product since the modifier product will be a "new product"
You can change the name so you can know the difference in this example it is a 4pk of Cherry Coke
Next, we will scroll down till we see modifier. The original product modifier is 0 but this "new product" will be modifier 1. So for example, if you were to do a third cherry coke product for 8 pk then you would follow the same steps but this time the modifier would be 2. It will always be the next number up of the same product.
After changing the modifier, you will know put the retail price for the product. In this example, it will be for a 4 pk.
Now we press save to save the configurations we did for the product.
As we see here we now have two products with the same SKU/UPC. When you scan the barcode. You will have the option of a single and a 4pk or whatever pk you are doing.
If you are a Supersonic POS it will auto-send the transmission of the changes you've done. If you are a Gas Station only or a Supersonic POS and Gas Station then you have to push the transmission manually. To do that just go to Manage then POS transmission after clicking that, you will click on new and then save changes.
That is the end and you have now successfully added modifiers for a product through the backoffice, POS, and phone app.
