Prerequisite:

This guide already assumes you have added all items from your menu as products in the back office meaning you've created the products for combos, sides, beverages, extras, etc, and you have assigned them to a department (Ex. Café or Deli) and you gave them a special SKU that you created. These are not auto-generated SKUs these are assigned by you when creating your menu product.

For some products, you may need to make 2 identical products, one of them will be for the price of the product alone and the other will be for combos that come with a side and this product price will either be $0 because it is included in the combo price or an upcharge of however much you want to assign it. This will help in creating menu chains for customizable menu items (ex. Combos)

Create Menus

In Store Management, under Registers.

Select Menu Management at the top of the page.

  • Click on "+ New Menu" and you will be brought to the menu editor, Give the Menu a Name.

  • In Menu type you have 3 options: Single Select Menu, Multi Select Menu, and Menu Chain

    • Single Select menu is a menu where you will choose only a single product from

    • Multi Select Menu is for a menu where you will like the option of choosing more than 1 product (Ex. Mods, Toppings, Extras, etc..)

    • Menu Chain is for grouping menus together for a customizable menu item. (Ex. Combos.)

Drag and Drop a Product onto any of the unused gray buttons. This will display the configure button editor. You can select a product either by name or by SKU and assign an alternate background color. Click Save Button and it will now appear on your Menu.

Do this for every product you will like to add onto the Menu and then click Save Changes.

Now that you have created your Menu we will add it to our Register. Go to your Register List and locate your Register and click Configure.

Add The Menus To Your POS Touchscreen

You will be brought to your Touch Screen Configuration screen. Drag and Drop a Menu button to any of the unused gray buttons.

NOTE: You cannot edit your Touchscreen configurations on another touchscreen device. It is recommended to edit your Touch Screen Configuration from a PC/Laptop.

Once dropped to the gray buttons you will be prompted to Configure Button. Select the Menu you just created and assign it a background color of your choosing

Click Save Button and you will now see that Menu Button has been added to your POS Touchscreen

When you have finished adding your menus and configuring your POS Touchscreen Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click Save Changes. This will now transmit all Touch Screen Changes directly to your Super Sonic POS.
